ABSTRACT
PURPOSE:
Clinical simulation has proven to be effective for training technical and non-technical skills in obstetric emergencies. In this context, an innovative educational strategy was designed based on the escape room format with the objective of strengthening the clinical and communication competencies of obstetric professionals in managing eclampsia through simulation in an escape room format.

DISCUSSION:
An escape room was developed where participants solved clues and puzzles to manage a clinical case within a limited time. The activity included 10 minutes of pre-briefing, 30 minutes in the escape room, and 45 minutes of debriefing. In the pre-briefing, the scenario and rules were presented. Upon entering the room, each group had to identify their designated area marked with a previously chosen color and a common area, where the first box was located containing an envelope with information about the patient and a formula they had to solve to access the next box, continuing until they solved the 5 boxes, whose themes were: diagnosis, risk factors, stabilization, treatment, and follow-up care. The activity incorporated gamification elements such as suspenseful music, a timer, and penalties for hints. In the debriefing, learning was consolidated through reflection on the experience.

EVIDENCE WHERE RELEVANT:
Ninety-eight professionals participated: specialists in maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) (19) and anesthesiology (6), MFM residents (14), midwives (24), midwifery students (12), nurses (11), and nursing care assistants (12); distributed across 5 sessions with 3 simultaneous stages per session. Each group, composed of 7 professionals from different disciplines, faced a simulated clinical case, solving clues in a gamified environment.

KEY MESSAGE:
The escape room is presented as a reproducible, replicable, and effective tool for training in critical situations such as eclampsia. Its playful and structured nature enhances the acquisition of clinical knowledge and transversal skills, improving team preparedness. Poster session 1 (Group A)
