ABSTRACT
THE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Uniting efforts to facilitate the education and capacity-building of one million more midwives.
THE PROCESS/ACTIVITIES:
Introduction to the global partnership, Midwifery Research and Education Development (MIDRED), through a three-minute animation video and short presentations.
MIDRED is a partnership between the University of Ghana, Birzeit University, Palestine, the University of Dundee, Scotland, and the Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway.
After this 20-minute introduction, the audience will be involved in the activities, developing a partnership for sustainable midwifery education and capacity-building globally.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION:
Audience participation will be facilitated in the following three steps:
In the first 10 minutes, the audience will be invited to suggest various topics relevant to partnerships on the digital platform, Padlet.
Secondly, the participants will be divided into 10 groups who, for 30 minutes, will create ideas on how to build partnerships for quality education in Midwifery and present a summary in the digital Padlet. The MIDRED team will join the various groups.
Thirdly, the ideas from the ten groups will be screened and presented by each group in two minutes each. The MIDRED team will conclude with a final statement.
