ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND:
Global warming and climate change pose significant health risks, including air pollution, heat-related illnesses, and waterborne diseases. The World Health Organization sees climate change as one of the 21st century's most critical issues. Environmental pollution and climate disasters lead to health problems in vulnerable groups, such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and preterm birth. Midwives play a crucial role in protecting these groups by providing care, counseling on climate change, and implementing preventive strategies. They support women and children during climate disasters with both physical and emotional care. The International Confederation of Midwives calls for midwives to receive training on emergency interventions and promote awareness, reduce carbon footprints, and ensure the health and safety of vulnerable populations.

OBJECTIVES:
The aim of this study is to determine midwives' views on the effects of the climate crisis on reproductive health.

METHODS:
The study is a phenomenological research design with a qualitative research design. In the study, 17 midwives working in X hospital were interviewed. The study was reported in accordance with the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research (COREQ) guidelines. The data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis method.

RESULTS:
The analysis identified four categories: individual effects of the climate crisis, its impact on reproductive health, measures to mitigate these effects, and midwives' awareness-raising activities. Three main themes emerged from participants' experiences: physical, psychological/spiritual, and economic/social effects of the climate crisis on individuals.

CONCLUSIONS:
It has been concluded that midwives are aware of the spread of climate crises and that the conditions of this situation continue and that negative psychological deteriorations continue.
