METHODS:
In 05 May 2024, the first Midwives’ Healthathon was held in Béni Mellal, supported by midwifery training institute, and UNFPA in partnership with professional midwives associations The event gathered more than 100 participants, including student and practicing midwives, educators, and public health experts. Healthathon is the competition that included interactive activities such as community theatre, SRH education material development in Arabic and Amazigh, micro-debates, and working groups addressing topics like early marriage, intimate partner violence, and supervised childbirth and the importance of emotional intelligence in stress management

RESULTS:
The Healthathon generated several innovative interventions: simplified multilingual SRH brochures, theatre performances targeting youth and mothers, mobile pregnancy risk monitoring tools, and awareness campaigns led by midwives. These projects improved trust between communities and health workers, increased awareness of maternal health risks, and promoted greater uptake of antenatal and delivery services in supervised facilities.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
This initiative demonstrated that when empowered, midwives are powerful community actors capable of designing and delivering impactful health solutions. The Healthathon model offers a replicable framework to support SRH promotion and reduce maternal deaths in resource-limited settings.
