Maternity has changed in recent decades with a delay in the age to become mothers, and social pressure are facts that increase complications both in pregnancy and in child-rearing. Additionally, the anxiety that come in the postpartum period during the first week of life. For this reason, in our healthcare center, we have incorporated a home hospitalization program aimed at bringing the family closer to their home, fostering the mother-child bond, shortening the hospital stay while ensuring the safety of mother and newborn.

OBJECTIVES:

METHODS:

RESULTS:
Out of the total candidates who met the inclusion criteria, 85% accepted the program (n=63), 30% were primiparous and 70% multiparous. 90% were exclusively breastfeeding, and 8% were supplemented at home due to neonatal weight loss, but all of them were exclusively breastfeeding by the end of the first week of life. 15.8% of neonates had their home admission extended up to a maximum of 72 hours due to elevated bilirubin levels, without requiring hospital readmission. We only had 1 case of referral to the postpartum UCIAS due to high blood pressure. The result of the satisfaction survey NPS was 10.
