ABSTRACT
THE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Midwives face increasing emotional and psychological demands that can impact their well-being, resilience, and quality of care. This 90-minute interactive workshop introduces participants to the EIP (Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Wellbeing) Program for Midwives, a structured, evidence-informed educational intervention designed to support midwives’ emotional health and professional fulfillment.Grounded in research published in Women and Birth (Tabib et al. 2024), the EIP Program incorporates relaxation practices, emotional management, self-awareness, and peer support strategies. This workshop offers a condensed version of the program, providing participants with practical tools to enhance their psychological well-being and emotional intelligence.
Learning Outcomes
Recognize key psychological challenges in midwifery practice.
Understand the principles and outcomes of the EIP Program.
Apply practical strategies to support emotional well-being and resilience.
THE PROCESS/ACTIVITIES:
The workshop will include:
Guided relaxation exercises
Scenario-based learning and reflective practice
Small group discussions and peer-sharing activities
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION:
Participants will actively engage in experiential learning, reflection, and group dialogue. No prior experience is required.
