ABSTRACT
PURPOSE:
To address persistent gaps in abortion access and underutilization of midwives within Canadian health systems, the Canadian Association of Midwives developed a suite of open-access, bilingual policy and practice tools. These resources aim to equip midwives, associations, educators, and health leaders to advance midwife-led abortion care. These resources can be adapted and applied across international contexts.

DISCUSSION:
Drawing on evidence from stakeholder consultations, national research, and jurisdictional scans, the Canadian Association of Midwives co-created practical and scalable tools to support policy implementation, practice integration, and advocacy. These include a National Strategy for Midwife-Led Abortion Care, an Advocacy Roadmap, a Stakeholder Mapping Tool, an Implementation Checklist for Medication Abortion Care, policy briefs, briefing notes, and infographics tailored to diverse audiences, as well as a microlearning module on the CAM Learns platform. Available in both French and English, these tools are freely accessible online and designed for flexibility across various contexts. The tools reflect reproductive justice principles, honour midwifery values, and promote scalable solutions grounded in informed choice, cultural safety, and community integration.

EVIDENCE WHERE RELEVANT:
Each tool was informed by a rigorous, multi-method process involving qualitative research, national midwifery consultations, and was guided by a steering committee. The resulting work offers an evidence-informed framework for a midwifery model of abortion care, including an enabling environment, aligned with World Health Organization and International Confederation of Midwives guidance.

KEY MESSAGE:
Advancing reproductive justice through midwifery-led abortion care requires tailored, actionable knowledge tools. The Canadian Association of Midwives’ resources offer a replicable model to support midwives globally in expanding equitable abortion access within their health systems. Poster session 4 (Group B)
