ABSTRACT
THE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The workshop aims to equip participants with practical skills to support women in having an empowering and positive birth experience. Attendees will understand the benefits of using water and how to facilitate women who use water for labour and/or birth. Demonstrations on application and the use of the Robozo and supporting women with optimal birth positions. Understand how to use complementary therapies, including Aromatherapy and Reflexology, for postdates pregnancy and birth. Demonstrations on hypnobirthing techniques to promote relaxation and pain management. Additionally, we will explore ways to create a calming and relaxing birth environment, enhancing the overall birth experience for the woman and her partner.

THE PROCESS/ACTIVITIES:
The workshop will be structured around 5 interactive workstations with participants rotating among each station. Facilitating the use of water for labour and birth using inflatable pools and the environmental setup Optimal positions for pregnancy and birth with practice using the Robozo Safe and effective use of aromatherapy for the pregnant woman Using reflexology techniques for postdates pregnancy and birth Supporting the woman using hypnobirthing. Each activity emphasizes practical and easy-to-implement techniques. The workshop encourages sharing experiences and peer learning and deepens understanding of supportive practices.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION:
Designed for all who support pregnant women during pregnancy, labor, and birth. Participants will engage in practical demonstrations, so it is easily translatable across different languages and cultural contexts. Hands-on demonstrations to enhance confidence and competence. Low-cost session promoting sustainable birthing practices with minimal resource requirements. Additional reading Key reference material will be provided on the day.
