ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND:
High-quality midwifery education is critical to developing a competent midwifery workforce capable of delivering essential sexual, reproductive, maternal, and newborn health services. While global standards for improved education exists, calls for enhanced quality and accreditation systems in low-resource settings like Bangladesh face persistent implementation challenges.

OBJECTIVES:
To validate and culturally adapt a Quality Assurance Assessment Tool aligned with global midwifery education standards, tailored to support internal quality processes and meet national accreditation requirements in Bangladesh.

METHODS:
A three-round modified Delphi study engaged 55 participants—including midwifery educators, institutional leaders, and researchers from Bangladesh, India, and Sweden. In Round 1: A workshop in Dhaka with 25 experts guided initial tool development. In Round 2: Field testing with 30 faculty members and principals from five institutions evaluated the tool’s relevance, usability, and face validity, and in Round 3: The 25 workshop experts reviewed final revisions, leading to full consensus. The study was approved by the Directorate General of Nursing and Midwifery Services in Bangladesh.

RESULTS:
The tool demonstrated strong face and content validity and was affirmed as both contextually appropriate and aligned with global and national midwifery education standards. Participants confirmed its potential to support an internal quality assurance process aligned with the national accreditation.

CONCLUSIONS:
This validated Quality Assurance Assessment Tool offers a robust, context-sensitive framework to enhance midwifery education quality in Bangladesh. It holds promise as a model for adaptation in other low-resource settings. The next phase will involve developing an implementation guideline through a Delphi process.

KEY MESSAGE:
- A validated, culturally adapted Quality Assurance Assessment Tool has been developed for midwifery education in Bangladesh, offering a practical framework aligned with global standards and national accreditation requirements. - This tool empowers institutions in low-resource settings to strengthen internal quality assurance processes in midwifery education, with potential for broader regional adaptation and impact Poster session 3 (Group B)
