Indexing

We are working closely with indexing databases to ensure that the European Journal of Midwifery will be indexed retrospectively, from the first issue in appropriate databases.

To meet the indexing requirements, as with all new journals, the European Journal of Midwifery needs to show quality control mechanisms, a broad editorial board, international readership and submissions and an increasing number of high-quality manuscripts in the production flow - indeed our rejection rate in 2020 is 55%.

We are currently indexed in:
  • DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals)
  • CrossRef Metadata search
  • EBSCO

  • We are currently applying to be indexed in:
    • Pubmed
    • Web of Science - Emerging Sources Citation Index
    • Embase

    • Thank you for your support in developing an international, and greatly needed, journal in the field of Midwifery. It is your support that makes the development of the journal possible.
